about

As the saying goes, we’re living the dream. We are fortunate to live in a gorgeous part of the world, surrounded by people we love, busy with things that are fulfilling and enjoyable; and all of it infused with music. Music has been the constant in a lifetime of change, and it has always been at the center of our relationship.

There is a wonderful thing that happens with music. When a song is in the air, we have a tangible hold on time. The song becomes a communion in the space shared by performer and audience, where everything is possible, and where there is always room for hope. A song can be a shared story, a shared vision, a shared joy, a shared truth… a shared dream.

With Dream True we share songs, new and old, that have guided our dreams of late. From Metolius Spring, about one of our favorite places in the world, to Early Morning Rain, one of the songs we’ve sung the longest together; to our favorite 7th inning stretch, Take Me Out to the Ballgame, to Merle, a tribute to Merle Haggard, who inspired musicians and fans for decades. Old is about the inevitable (recorded live at Hope Abbey Mausoleum); February a prayer for getting through the dark days of winter; and Bridges, Bill Staines’ timely anthem of unity found through the arts. Mike’s siblings sing along on A World Inside Those Songs, a tribute to growing up in a singing family.
